I was sitting in Oculus Home about to launch SteamVR for the House of the Dying Sun stream last Wednesday when I noticed that there was a new free "concept". I love trying out anything I can get my grubby little VR mitts on so I immdiately clicked Install without even checking what the game was or what it was about.
The game was called InCell. I figured it would be another tour app like The Body. It wasn't! InCell is a Radial-G like tube racer with the twist that you can control your ship by leaning your head. The first time I did that was very odd-feeling. I am willing to bet that this experience will make people who don't have very strong VR legs fell ill. Quickly.
I was blessed with natural VR legs and have only felt off a couple of times. Looking left and right while leaning left and right is twisty. Looking left and leaning right for example would make many users feel sick.
Stepping back from that leaves me craving more, the scenery and background is so beautiful that you want to look in ways that may seem off-putting. This experience is so much better than The Body. I feel like I am in a cell. I recognize the parts of the cell from 5th/6th grade science classes and it is a mix of remembering school and being in the future and being right now and it just deserves your time if you have a headset and don't get sick easily. Play this if you have the opprutunity.
Here is a link to the rest of the stream if you're interested in seeing the progression of the game as I played it. This link is time coded to begin where you left off if you watched the video on this page. The FULL stream is available here

I enjoy making content for the internet from podcasts to game play footage to commentaries. More recently, I've switched focus to streaming more VR content via my Oculus Rift.
