Experimenting with local split screen streams

Posted on Jun 15, 2016

I was trying to see if this was a viable way of playing games on twitch.

The first time we played it was Mortal Kombat X. The game audio was muted to protect viewers from hearing double audio. Problem with that was, there was no descernable audio making it from the speakers to the mic.

So, basically no game sound.

The other nice elements are present. The cam has both of us in frame. The mic should have been centered, but wasn't. The controller inputs are displayed on the stream next to the players face and on their charactrers spawn side.

This is an unclipped Extended Play and is half an hour long. You were warned.

The Second Game

The second time we tried this we played Rocket League. For this stream, I had a tiny camera on frame. I ditched the controller output for Rocket League due to the nature of the game.

There was prominent game sound for this stream. The downside of that is that Jaycifer is barely audible over the game noise becuase I still had the mic offset stage left which is much closer to me.

This is an unclipped Extended Play and is three quarters of an hour long. You were warned.
